Hi All
My news for today.. I finally got a car. I went up to my parents place and picked it up. Mum was kind of sad to see her car go, but she will be getting a newer one. In the meantime.. I am now a volvo driver. Apparently my tin of mints and my old man hat are in the mail. The funny thing is that this volvo (80's model) is actually kind of cool. It has a spoiler and mags, red interior.. and... um.. did I mention a spoiler? So if anyone in melbourne finds themselves stuck behind an old volvo goin g20km per hour and weaving between 3 lanes (section 3 of hte volvo owners hand book states that I need to weave, go slow, and wear the hat), it is probably me :)
My last car, a litttle orange toyota, was sold before I went to Japan. Before I sold it, i took a picture and photoshoped it to make it a little more funky. Check it out below. I might do the same with the volvo some time.. who knows...
This weeks comic is from the news where the Ice that polar bears live on is disappearing... well melting anyway. So I thought, that in order to still blend into their surrounds for hunting, they could do with some camo gear.
Seriously though, polar bears live and hunt on the ice and without it they are staving to death and cannibalizing each other. I would start my plea for everyone to buy a hybrid car, use energy efficient appliances or go live in a hippy commune where everyone lives off the land and smokes weed.. but well.. I don't think it is my place... and please PLEASE don't joina hippie commune.
