Hi All

Wow, it has really been a long time since my last comic!

Egypt was really good, I won't bore you with the list of temples, tombs etc that I went to, but instead i will bore you with my series of almost amusing personal anecdotes.

First I want to talk about the circumcision. My girlfriend got pretty sick while we were going through the desert, and I was not surprised, she gets sick every holiday. Anyway, she couldn’t eat or drink and was getting pretty weak, so we took her to a doctor, where he gave her a drip feed for a while and prescribed some stuff to help her get better. While we were there, there was some commotion in another room, and our cook, Adel told me, “that noise usually means there is a new baby”. He got really excited and went to check it out. From the look on his face I could tell that there was no new baby. He came back and quietly told me “it was not a new baby, it was a baby boy with the… *scissors gesture*”.

Funnier still was our security guard. This guy looked young, though he did have 2 wives (1 good, 1 bad I am told). We got him to down half a glass of vodka one night, and seeing as he doesn’t usually drink, he got a bit tipsy. So he decided to impress us with his “piece”. He pulled out a handgun took out the cartridge and pulled the trigger a few times to show us that it was empty. He then handed it round our group so everyone could have a play. Soon enough we were taking photos of each other pointing this handgun at peoples heads. The photos look completely wrong, because there is someone pointing a gun at someone else, and they are both smiling.

There were many more antics but I won’t subject you to them just yet. Moving on.

SOMEONE was entering code snippets into the comments so that the penguin art page would redirect to all sorts of nasty porn while I was away, so I am VERY sorry to anyone who was affected by that. I have tidied up my code and now that shouldn’t happen anymore. Unfortunately that means that the bold, italic and underline functions probably won’t work either. I am still getting the occasional spam from them but I am able to delete it and at least it is not redirecting anymore. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to fix this if it continues, but I really hate the Idea of restricting the comments more, as I think it would deter people from commenting.

Anyway, after looking at this weeks comic, and comparing with the Christmas comic, I am seeing a pattern of violence against holiday characters. I never thought myself a violent person, but they, there you go.

Actually now that I think about it I did try to glass one of my co-workers with a chocolate bunny… Incase anyone doesn’t know, glassing someone is where you hold the neck of a glass bottle and break the base, and then stab someone with your new weapon. The same can be done (and was done by me) with a chocolate bunny, though it only achieved chocolate stains on his shirt. But they were some NASTY chocolate stains!
